Promising recommendations to build a sustainable financial system and a corporate governance model for the long-term

The High Level Expert Group (HLEG) on Sustainable Finance, established by the European Commission last year, has published its interim report in which they map out the potential avenues for reforming the financial system towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient and sustainable economy. The Group is composed of 20 senior experts ranging from the civil society, the finance sector, academia as well as representatives from European institutions and will deliver concrete policy recommendations in its final report (expected by the end of this year).
